The latest Address Correction Validation Module (AVCM) update has been shipped out so be sure to keep an eye out for the disk in the mail. This update will have the most updated addresses released by the USPS. These updated addresses will be valid until July 2011 when we will be sending out the next batch of updates.
For businesses that have yet to add the ACVM module to their M.O.M. system, we strongly suggest you consider the investment. Address correction fees for packages sent to invalid addresses can end up costing your business close to $15 per mailing, leaving you with the decision to absorb the costs or charge your customer. ACVM also allows your business to avoid shipping delays to ensure your customers receive their orders on time. Avoid all shipping address issues before they arise with the Address Correction Validation Module.
The Address Correction and Validation module (ACVM) for M.O.M. will compare key-entered and imported shipping and mailing addresses against actual USPS® data in real time. ACVM can help you reduce carrier-imposed penalties by validating individual addresses as well as lists created in the List Management Module (LMM).
